Thousands try to escape the mud at Burning Man festival Tens of thousands of Burning Man revelers, or "burners," continued the long, slow slog out of the northern Nevada desert Tuesday morning after getting stranded by flooding that created a muddy mess.Traffic began moving again Monday afternoon after organizers decided the mud had sufficiently dried. PETA hopes to showcase Bob Barker with renamed portion of Sunset Boulevard The animal rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is hoping to rename part of Sunset Boulevard in honor of the late "The Price is Right" host Bob Barker.Barker, who famously signed off each episode of the game show with "have your pets spayed and neutered," is the namesake for PETA's Los Angeles headquarters in Echo Park. San Jose: Motorcyclist dies from injuries suffered in August crash SAN JOSE — A man died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash he was involved in almost three weeks prior, according to authorities.The crash occurred at 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 10 in the area of Tully Road and Mclaughlin Avenue, according to a news release from San Jose police.
